Cindy Bishop Ministries is a 501-C3 faith-based non-profit (with a Church designation) corporation. We provide two men's facilities that house men who are homeless, and one women's facility for domestic violence survivors and those displaced through life's circumstances. This includes men and women who through various circumstances find themselves without jobs, transportation, food or shelter. Our primary mission is not to provide a place for men or women to stay; but programs that are Christian Based to help them have a productive life with Christ based skill sets. The men and women in our homes range in ages from 18 years old to 65. Cindy Bishop Ministries has been serving the needs of homeless men and women for over nineteen years. We have been in operation for over nine years at the Refuge location.
Service Times are Sunday 11am and Wednesday 7 PM.
Here at Shepherd's Heart Church, we are a Spirit-Filled, Non-Denominational body of believers.
Our Mission Statement is Isaiah 58:6-7 “Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness, To undo the heavy burdens, To let the oppressed go free, And that you break every yoke? Is it not to share your bread with the hungry, and that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out; When you see the naked, that you cover him, and not hide yourself from your own flesh?"
We believe in giving people second and third chances, as we are well aware of our own human weakness. We believe in a Triune God as represented throughout Scripture, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We have people here from every walk of life, from the drug-addict, alcoholic, or those facing life's hardships. We hope you will feel welcome to come and worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness with us. We are located at 14435 Fm 730 N Azle, Texas 76020.
Cindy Bishop Ministries is based with two homes in Azle, Texas and we also have one home established in Louisiana. The rural setting provides a peaceful location away from the traditional homeless facilities and the accompanying temptations and distractions of those areas.
The ministry provides support through faith based programs which includes anger management, healing damaged emotions, submitting to authority, life skills, and addiction recovery classes. The residents also attend daily Bible-based devotionals, Bible study and prayer time, as well as Church on Sunday and Wednesday. The ministry provides support for job search, I.D., medical, dental, parole & probation visits, and any other personal needs that help the individual get back on their feet and become productive citizens.
Adam Jones has served in the ministry as house director of The Refuge since October 2015. In August of 2019, Adam was promoted to Executive Director. His leadership skills opened the way for multiple facilities and greater fundraising efforts in order to house many more distressed individuals. His duties include oversight of all of the facilities and pastoring Shepherd's Heart Church.
